A community fridge for the Maple vacant lot: help our neighbors in Lapu-Lapu
A community-led a community fridge at the Maple vacant lot that will serve 179 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 179 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $190
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Tools hire and delivery: $55
