A community fridge for the Jacaranda health centre yard: help our neighbors in Mississauga
A community-led a community fridge at the Jacaranda health centre yard that will serve 433 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,200.
It will serve about 433 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Materials: $1,800
• Safety equipment and signage: $130
• Tools hire and delivery: $270
