A community fridge for the Baobab community hall: help our neighbors in Paris
Volunteers in Paris are raising $2,600 for a community fridge at the Baobab community hall.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $700, and the remaining cost is $2,600.
It will serve about 413 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $170
• Safety equipment and signage: $380
• Materials: $2,050
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Sending good thoughts, Geneviève. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Da Nang
