A community fridge for Sycamore Park: help our neighbors in Kilkenny

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $1,100 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Sycamore Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,100. It will serve about 102 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,100 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $490 • Permits and inspections: $320 • Safety equipment and signage: $290 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
