A community fridge for Maple Park: help our neighbors in Dundee
Volunteers in Dundee are raising $1,700 for a community fridge at Maple Park.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom193 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,700.
It will serve about 213 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $220
• Safety equipment and signage: $130
• Materials: $1,350
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hope things get better soon. Shared it with a few friends. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.
sending love, Kinsley. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Dundee
wishing you the best. Great idea, hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Dundee.
Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care!
Praying for you. More neighborhoods should do this. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
