A community fridge for Jacaranda Primary School: help our neighbors in Limerick
Volunteers in Limerick are raising $2,450 for a community fridge at Jacaranda Primary School.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,450.
It will serve about 272 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Materials: $1,650
• Permits and inspections: $300
• Safety equipment and signage: $200
• Tools hire and delivery: $300
