For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Park, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $150. It will serve about 599 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $150 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $60 • Permits and inspections: $40 I hope life is good to you.

Best of luck, Bharath. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
