A community fridge: a volunteer-led effort in Pasig
Volunteers in Pasig are raising $450 for a community fridge at Liberty Park.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $190, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 206 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $310
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
