A community fridge: a volunteer-led effort in Noida

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 167 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $300 goes: • Permits and inspections: $30 • Materials: $240 • Safety equipment and signage: $30 Thanks for reading all this. - Rajesh
