Kota
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus community hall, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 252 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $300 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $60 • Permits and inspections: $60 • Materials: $180 Thank you so much. - Ankit

  • You're not alone, Ankit. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Kota.

    • Sending strength, Ankit. Looking forward to the next update. We're a small family in Dallas but we're thinking of you. Blessings
