A community fridge: a volunteer-led effort in Hồ Chí Minh City
Volunteers in Hồ Chí Minh City are raising $350 for a community fridge at the Maple community hall.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 369 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $260
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $25

Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
