A community fridge: a volunteer-led effort in Dhaka
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $250 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $145, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 363 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Materials: $125
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
