A community fridge: a volunteer-led effort in Bekasi
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $300 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 417 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Materials: $200
• Safety equipment and signage: $80
• Permits and inspections: $20
