I'm Hana, 18, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study architecture.
I have a top-of-class average, I volunteer at a food pantry and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Take care, Hana. Hope you get there. Love from Kakamega.
Thinking of you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Haarlem this morning.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings
