I'm Emery, 18, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study psychology.
I have a top-of-class average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until September. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Chiang Mai
Good luck, Emery. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care!
Sending love, Emery. I hope things turn around soon.
