A cochlear implant processor upgrade for Thiago: help Thiago move freely
Help Thiago get a cochlear implant processor upgrade so He can attend work interviews.
🇧🇷 Brazil1,362 views
Thiago lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the São Paulo Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Thiago could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $910
• Fitting and training sessions: $85
• Delivery and set-up: $60
• First-year servicing plan: $45

stay strong. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings
Thinking of you, Josiane. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope October is when things finally get easier. All the best!
