Sebastião lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the São Paulo Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $150. His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment Sebastião could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $150 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $30 • Fitting and training sessions: $35 • First-year servicing plan: $85 With deep gratitude, Edson
