Ruby lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at London General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,550.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Ruby could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.

look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry!
