Larisa lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Cluj-Napoca Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,650.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Larisa could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
