Giannis lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Athens General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,800. His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment Giannis could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $4,800 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $95 • cochlear implant processor upgrade: $4,650 • Fitting and training sessions: $55 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Fotini
