A cochlear implant processor upgrade for Fahad: help Fahad move freely
A cochlear implant processor upgrade would give Fahad independence - we're $950 away.
🇵🇰 Pakistan1,409 views
Fahad lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Rawalpindi Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $950.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Fahad could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $950 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $900
• First-year servicing plan: $30
• Fitting and training sessions: $20
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
