Wudil
Amaka lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Wudil Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400. Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Amaka could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $400 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $50 • cochlear implant processor upgrade: $310 • Delivery and set-up: $40 Glad we found this place. - Chioma
