A braille note-taker for Yamuna: help Yamuna move freely
Yamuna needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,100.

Yamuna lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Pune Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Yamuna could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,100 goes:
⢠braille note-taker: $1,000
⢠Fitting and training sessions: $40
⢠Delivery and set-up: $15
⢠First-year servicing plan: $45
Thank you so much.
- Padma

rooting for you, Padma. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
