A braille note-taker for Thanawat: help Thanawat move freely
Help Thanawat get a braille note-taker so He can get to the shops and visit friends.
🇹🇭 Bangkok, Bangkok, Thailand827 views
Thanawat lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Bangkok Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $150.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Thanawat could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $150 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $55
• Fitting and training sessions: $60
• Delivery and set-up: $35
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Thanawat.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. first-year servicing plan is the biggest at $55. I'll keep the page updated.

Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Aurangabad.
