Salma lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Saint-Étienne Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,550. Her current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Salma could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
