Pablo lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at La Plata General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,900.
His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Pablo could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $75
• braille note-taker: $1,750
• First-year servicing plan: $75
