Nithya lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Jodhpur Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450. Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment Nithya could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $450 goes: • braille note-taker: $320 • Fitting and training sessions: $55 • Delivery and set-up: $20 • First-year servicing plan: $55 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
