Manfred needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $4,950.

Manfred lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Nuremberg Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,950.
His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Manfred could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $4,950 goes:
• braille note-taker: $4,300
• Fitting and training sessions: $280
• Delivery and set-up: $80
• First-year servicing plan: $290
