A braille note-taker for Chanchai: help me move freely
A braille note-taker would give Chanchai independence - we're $200 away.

I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at Nakhon Ratchasima General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $200.
My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $200 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $85
• Fitting and training sessions: $60
• Delivery and set-up: $55
Glad we found this place.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Chanchai!
Sure. The biggest one is first-year servicing plan, $85. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for looking so closely.
Sending good thoughts. Wishing Chanchai a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My neighbor in Lahore donated after I showed her your page. Love from Lahore!
Sending good thoughts, Chanchai. Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in Fresno this morning. Thinking of Nakhon Ratchasima.
Sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 24 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
how is Chanchai doing now?
You're not alone, Chanchai. Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Nakhon Ratchasima.
Sending love, Chanchai. I hope things turn around soon. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
you're not alone, Chanchai. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Blessings
hope things get better soon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Dhaka.
Wishing you peace, Chanchai. Get well soon.
wishing you the best, Chanchai. Shared this with my family. We're a small family in Medina but we're thinking of you. Blessings.
