A braille note-taker for Brooklyn: help me move freely
Brooklyn needs a braille note-taker that the health system will not fund; the cost is $7,650.

I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at the Liverpool Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,650.
My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $7,650 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $220
• First-year servicing plan: $200
• braille note-taker: $7,230
Thank you so much.
