A braille note-taker for Arjun: help Arjun move freely
Arjun needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,350.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India348 views
Arjun lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Nashik Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,350.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Arjun could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• braille note-taker: $1,250
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $35
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Keep going, Geeta. Hope you get there.
Sending strength. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Lagos.
Hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless.
praying for you, Geeta. Get well soon. We're a small family in Enugu but we're thinking of you.
Wishing you peace. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best
Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Wish I lived closer to Lahore so I could bring a meal. All the best.
So sorry you're going through this. Shared this with my family. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings!
