A braille note-taker for Đào: help me move freely
Help Đào get a braille note-taker so She can attend work interviews.
🇻🇳 Vietnam306 views
I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Thủ Đức Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850.
My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $850 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
• First-year servicing plan: $55
• braille note-taker: $755
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Praying for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 24 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Wishing you the best. Hope the doctors have good news. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
Sending strength, Đào. Hope the doctors have good news.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Đào.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. fitting and training sessions comes first ($40) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid.
Sending strength, Đào. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick
Sending strength, Đào. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes
Keep going, Đào. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care.
Sending strength. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings
