I coordinate donations at Cedar Refugee Centre in Belo Horizonte. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Belo Horizonte, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Cedar Refugee Centre on Wednesday between 10am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Cedar Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • sending strength, Gabriela. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Nashik so I could bring a meal. Take care.

    • You're not alone, Gabriela. Shared it with a few friends. Sent it to 24 people at work. Love from Corpus Christi.

      • take care. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Thinking of Belo Horizonte.

        • Sending strength. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Córdoba.
