I coordinate donations at Liberty Women's Shelter in Manchester. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Manchester, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Liberty Women's Shelter on Monday between 10am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Liberty Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Thinking of you and your family, Thomas. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. God bless

    • you're not alone. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.

      • reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 8 people at work. God bless.
