I coordinate donations at Jacaranda Refugee Centre in Ciudad de México. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Ciudad de México, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Jacaranda Refugee Centre on Friday between 9am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Jacaranda Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thank you for reading my story.

        • Wishing you peace. Shared this with my family. After 24 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

            • thinking of you and your family, Marta. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. My neighbor in İzmir donated after I showed her your page.
