I coordinate donations at Maple Refugee Centre in Bangkok. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Bangkok, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Maple Refugee Centre on Saturday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Maple Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • You're not alone. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Thinking of Bangkok.

    • Praying for you, Hathai. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Cape Town this morning. Love from Cape Town.

Hang in there, Hathai. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Wish I lived closer to Stockholm so I could bring a meal.
