61 pairs of children's shoes for Maple Refugee Centre
A simple way to help: donate warm clothing for kids at Maple Refugee Centre.

I coordinate donations at Maple Refugee Centre in Durban. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Durban, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Maple Refugee Centre on Thursday between 9am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Maple Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Thank you for reading my story.

I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
Thanks for sharing this, Tshepo. Hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
