I coordinate donations at Liberty Refugee Centre in Ikeja. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Ikeja, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Liberty Refugee Centre on Sunday between 10am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Liberty Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thank you so much.

Take care. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.

        • Rooting for you. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Birmingham
