Yonkers
Every year the Community Soup Kitchen Night brings together 136 neighbors in Yonkers. I help organize it with 12 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for registration, sorting donations and carrying boxes. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. I hope life is good to you.

  • best of luck. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. God bless

    • Good luck, Lillian. Shared it with a few friends. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.

      • Hang in there, Lillian. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Yonkers

        • Sending strength, Lillian. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
