I coordinate donations at Liberty Women's Shelter in Yogyakarta. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Yogyakarta, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Liberty Women's Shelter on Monday between 10am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Liberty Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Sending love, Irma. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. All the best.

    • It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Seville.

      • sending love, Irma. Hope this works out for you. After 30 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything

        • Wishing you the best, Irma. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We're a small family in Mohammedia but we're thinking of you

          • sending good thoughts. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
