Every year the School Supplies Giveaway brings together 296 neighbors in Saint Petersburg. I help organize it with 12 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • You're not alone, Oleg. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.

    • Thinking of you, Oleg. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Mandaue donated after I showed her your page.

      • Good luck, Oleg. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Christchurch.

        • Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Nagpur.
