Bacolod
Every year the Neighborhood Winter Coat Drive brings together 539 neighbors in Bacolod. I help organize it with 9 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for registration, sorting donations and carrying boxes. Shifts are four hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

So sorry you're going through this, Nenita. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best

    • Wishing you the best, Nenita. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. It's not much but it's yours. All the best.

      • Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Nairobi!

        • Thanks for sharing this, Nenita. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Bacolod

          • Stay strong, Nenita. I hope things turn around soon. God bless.
