Volunteers wanted: Mia's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Worcester: bring gloves and a rake.
🇺🇸 01681, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States1,125 views
I'm 90 and I have lived in this house in Worcester for 41 years. After the storm in January, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of poor eyesight.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Get well soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
Thinking of you and your family, Mia. Shared this with my family. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
Hang in there, Mia. Your post was clear and honest. Greetings from Sheffield.
Thanks for sharing this, Mia. Hope the doctors have good news. Put this on a community board in Magelang this morning.
