Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 311 neighbors in Pokhara. I help organize it with 6 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • thinking of you and your family. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in El Paso donated after I showed her your page. Blessings

    • You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Brasília.

      • Hang in there, Laxman. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Nagpur.
