11 volunteers for the School Supplies Giveaway in Oakland
We are short of hands for the School Supplies Giveaway; can you spare a morning?
🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States148 views
Every year the School Supplies Giveaway brings together 430 neighbors in Oakland. I help organize it with 11 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope it all works out, Susana. Shared it with a few friends. Wish I lived closer to Leeds so I could bring a meal.
wishing you peace, Susana. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
