Yakubu Olumide Ekwueme
Street art artist in Kano
- 🇳🇬 Kano, Kano, Nigeria
- Old Phoenix Gallery
- Since 2017
- English, Yoruba
I got into street art as a hobby and somewhere along the way it became the thing I do every day.
I also teach a weekly class at Old Phoenix Gallery, which keeps me honest.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Yakubu
I've had 3 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Yakubu: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
