Yakubu Musa Bankole

Youth swimming coach and mentor

  • 🇳🇬 Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria
  • Ibadan Community Club
  • 1982 to 2013
  • English
For 31 years I ran the swimming program at Ibadan Community Club in Ibadan. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turned anyone away. I'm still learning every day.

What gifts mean to Yakubu: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
