I taught music at Unity Grammar School in Addis Ababa from 2018 to 2025. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 280 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Tizita
If you were in my the youngest children class, you probably remember the time the class pet escaped.
What gifts mean to Tizita: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
