Byaruhanga Salim Shayo
Master of welding, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Since 2018
- English, Swahili
My trade is welding. I opened my own shop in 2018 in Nairobi and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
What gifts mean to Byaruhanga: Any gift will help me keep the workshop open for evening lessons.
