Yuni was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in July. The oncology team at the Yogyakarta Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Yuni is 47, worked as a bus conductor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Yogyakarta Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $900 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $490 • Transport to the Yogyakarta Oncology Institute: $130 • Household costs while unable to work: $280 Thank you for reading my story.
